Saint Augustine Anglican Church

God and the Rest of Us Welcome You

Sunday Service

Sunday Mornings at 10:30AM

Join us each week for our Sunday Communion Service. This is usually a Morning Prayer service with Holy Communion, of which all baptized Christians, regardless of denominational membership, are welcome to partake.

Our services are taken from the Book of Common Prayer (1928 Edition) with readings from the Revised Common Lectionary.

Coffee Hour

Sundays after Sunday Service

Every week we gather together in the fellowship hall immediately following Sunday Service for fellowship. Coffee, donuts, hot soup are provided. On major feast days or for special events we also have potluck luncheons (follow our Facebook page for announcements of those).

Please be sure to join us for fellowship when you visit.

Church Studies

Wednesday at 10:30AM

Our church studies group meetings start with a brief Morning Prayer service, followed by either Bible Study, discussion of the previous Sunday's lectionary readings, or discussion of other topics or reading materials. All are welcome to attend.

Location

We are located at 519 S. 8th Street in Deming, New Mexico, which is on the northeast corner of 8th and Birch Streets, about a block north of Mimbres Memorial Hospital. There is offstreet parking to the side of the church.

About Us

St. Augustine Anglican Church has been a local fixture here in Deming since its founding in 1984. We are a small but welcoming parish with members from various regional and denominational backgrounds, but we are all joined through fellowship and through our worship, which is liturgical, traditional, and grounded in the prayers and services of the Book of Common Prayer.

We are a spiritual and thoughtful, yet not ideological, parish, trying, as St. Paul calls upon us to do: to put what we learn, receive, and hear each Sunday into practice, thus living out our faith as we go out into the world.

Jurisdictionally, we are a parish in the Anglican Diocese of the Southwest of the Anglican Church in North America (ACNA)
